Since discovering The Vandon Arms, I can’t stop listening to them. Their music has an infectious kick you just can’t get out of your head; if you like Flogging Molly, you’ll love this Irish punk group.
Why I haven’t discovered them before now I don’t know, but according to their Punx.com profile, the four-piece has shared the stage with such great acts as The Unseen, Reel Big Fish, Agent Orange and more.
Seriously, what are you waiting for? Get thee to their profile and rock out. They’ve got some AWESOME music (I recommend The Righteous Fight and The Boys Back Home), and they’re sure to become a favorite.
If you decide you really love them, check out their merch selection; from what I can tell, they’ve got two CD’s available for purchase. Go to town, lovelies. :)
You can also check out The Vandon Arms official website or their Myspace, if that’s your fancy.
We’ve already discussed the track listing for Bad Religion’s upcoming deluxe edition of New Maps of Hell.
Well, apparently the deluxe release will come with re-mastered cover art, as well (see right-hand side.)
The album will be released July 8th, 2008 and will feature 23 tracks, including seven acoustic songs. The deluxe edition will also include a DVD featuring live performances of the band and two music videos.
I’m a little interested to see how this album will turn out - what are your thoughts? Do you like the cover art for the original album or the deluxe edition?
Seriously, if you don’t want to have music stuck in your head all day, do NOT listen to the latest offering from Reggie And The Full Effect.
Actually, listen to it anyway - but you’ve been warned, it WILL get stuck in your head!
The latest track “J Train” will appear on Reggie And The Full Effect’s upcoming album, “Last Stop: Crappytown.” It’s catchy, it’s punk-ish, it’s pretty much the perfect start to your day.
Of course, don’t take my word for it. Listen to the new track, as well as other tunes here.

Popular Los Angeles radio station KROQ have announced the lineup for their annual Weenie Roast. This year’s festival will be held at the Verizon Wireless Amphitheater in Irvine, CA on May 17th.
The lineup seems to be pretty solid, featuring Rise Against, Bad Religion, Metallica, The Offspring, The Raconteurs, Flogging Molly, and Pennywise to name a few.

Back in February, I mentioned that Bad Religion would be releasing a deluxe edition of the album New Maps of Hell. There were very few details available at that time, but now I have a track listing, a release date and what, exactly, makes this a “Deluxe” edition.
The extended edition of the album will drop July 10th, and will include seven acoustic tracks. The extended edition will also bring with it a DVD, which includes a live performance of Bad Religion in Las Vegas, as well as two music videos and other assorted media.
As a self-described music junkie, I will admit to playing certain songs for long periods of time - over and over and over again (much to the chagrin of my roommate, I might add!)
With that in mind, the following two songs are definitely tunes you MUST put on your iPod. Right now. Seriously, do it. If you already have them, great; if you don’t, what are you waiting for?
Rancid - Time Bomb
This song often finds itself on repeat in my playlist; if you don’t know this song, you’ve been living under a rock. If you DO know this song but have somehow neglected to add it to your preferred music player, WHY?! It’s a kick ass song and the tune always gets stuck in my head for days.Less Than Jake - The Science of Selling Yourself Short
Just TRY to listen to this song and not have the catchy melody pulsing through your brain all day. LTJ are one of my all-time favorite bands; I couldn’t make a post like this and not include one of their songs. So folks, there you have it - two songs you definitely can’t neglect to put on your iPod any longer. What are you waiting for? Hop to it, eh?
All of the music junkies here at the b5 music channel have come up with some AWESOME songs for your listening pleasure. Think you can handle them?
Why not check out some new pop tunes from Pop Music Scene, or chow down on breakfast to the sound of Def Leppard or Cradle of Filth over at Ear Sucker.
If country music is your thing, head on over to Country Music Stop for two tracks that are sure to please. The Rock Relic will also get your morning off to a fantastic start with two great tunes you absolutely must put on your music player.
This list is by no means complete; the rest of the b5 music writers have additional songs for you to listen to. Check out the complete list here, and stay true!

The Offspring are nothing if not busy; in addition to getting ready for their forthcoming album Rise and Fall, Rage and Grace (look for it June 17th), the band also recently announced three festival dates they plan to be a part of.
On May 16th, look for the band alongside Pennywise, Jimmy Eat World, etc. at the 91x X-Fest in San Diego. This is my hometown, so I may get a group of friends and head out to the festival. We’ll see!
You can also catch The Offspring in action at Big Gig in Denver, CO on July 26th, and again in Baltimore at the Virgin Mobile Festival on August 9th.
If you’d like to see ‘em live, mark your calendars and hop to it!
