Sex Pistols Re-Record Anarchy in the UK for Guitar Hero III

guitarhero.jpgSeriously, this has to be the best news I’ve heard yet today.

Gamers familiar with the Guitar Hero franchise know how addicting the games can be. Well, I’ve recently learned that the Sex Pistols (three of the four original Pistols, including Johnny “Rotten” Lydon, Paul Cook and Steve Jones) collaborated with  Chris Thomas to re-record their famous track “Anarchy in the UK” for the upcoming Guitar Hero III.

I. Am. Excited. I love Guitar Hero, I love the Pistols, and this addition to the Guitar Hero franchise is going to rock.

I can’t wait for this now. I wanted it even before I knew the Pistols were re-recording Anarchy but now? Man, release it NOW!

This will either be incredibly amazing or hilariously bad. Doesn’t anyone remember GH: Encore’s sleepwalked re-record of “I Wanna Rock?”

I second your sentiment Dave :)

Jason – I understand where you are coming from… but I am excited nonetheless.
