Sex Pistols Set to Record Again?

Sex Pistols Set to Record Again?

Somehow, this little tidbit managed to escape my radar until now. Better late then never, right?
In any case, it appears that there’s been talk of the Sex Pistols reuniting to record some new material – their first new songs in 30 years!
I’m not sure about you, but if it happens I’m DEFINITELY going to be excited.
While the likelihood of recording an actual album seems nil, the Sex Pistols hope they’ll have some new material ready by summer for their fans.

What are your thoughts? I’d like to hear ‘em!

Additionally, the band will be playing at several music festivals within the UK and other countries.
FINALLY (as if this wasn’t enough!), Strike Anywhere will be setting up tour dates throughout South America and Europe.

Fallen From the Sky has recently signed to Eulogy Recordings – congrats, guys!

Monday Music Madness: Agent

Monday Music Madness: Agent

Because I love new music (and because I assume you do too,) I’m absolutely thrilled to bring you the Long Island punk quintet, Agent.
Check out their new track, “I Am No One”:
“Clear thoughts and I can’t maintain
The same frail thoughts from day to day
There’s no stability
There’s nothing to save”
According to the group, the song is set to appear on an upcoming 7″.
In the meantime, check out the new track here, as well as some of their other material.

Rise Against Updates

Rise Against Updates

Don’t expect to see it anytime soon, but Rise Against are getting started early on their follow-up release to 2006’s The Sufferer & the Witness.
Quite possibly, we may see this record sometime during this summer or fall.
While you’re waiting for the new album (I know I am – can you say excited?), you can look forward to their new 5-song EP, which is (gasp), being released tomorrow.
I’ll announce further updates as I come across them. Until then, stay true.

Awesome Songs from Total Chaos and Tour Dates

Hardcore punk band Total Chaos are set to hit the road this month for a European tour. The band will be touring in support of Avoid All Sides.
The UK Subs and The Vibrators will also be joining them on select dates.
While I’d love an excuse to travel to Europe, unfortunately I’m going to have to miss out. Bummer!
In the meantime, I’ll be listening to some of their tracks (my favorite is Tomb of Doom.)
Check them out, and read the tour dates here.

New Video from Alkaline Trio

New Video from Alkaline Trio

To advertise their re-release of their 1998 CD Goddamnit, Alkaline Trio have posted a new video that includes footage from the bonus DVD that will be part of the reissue.
The DVD promises to be pretty sweet, so I’m quite excited about it.
In any case, here’s the video. Enjoy!
