Rancid Show Dates in Japan

Rancid Show Dates in Japan

I like Rancid, and I like Japan. Well, I THINK I’d like it if I actually had the chance to visit, but I digress.
In any case, Rancid plans to play a few shows in Japan after they headline the Punk Springs 2008 Festival. See those after the break.
In other news, the band’s still hard at work on their upcoming full length, the followup to their 2003 release Indestructible. You can expect that album to drop in June. More details as they arrive!

Botox Party Announce Upcoming Full Length

The album will be released via Raise Your Fist Records, and the band expects to start recording some time in April or May. I’ll give you more details as they’re announced.
Until then, why not give some of their music a listen?
I especially love “Elitist Social Class.” They hit home with lyrics like these:
“Punk rock is a community
Where you treat everybody equally
It’s not about the art it’s about the friends you make
Everything is a carbon copy it all looks and sounds …read more

Top 10 Punk Love Songs for Valentine’s Day

Yes, believe it or not there IS such a thing as a punk love song.
While it might deviate from the traditional, romantic, sappy Lionel Richie-esque music you’re used to hearing on V-day, I’m a fan of the non-traditional.

Band Spotlight: Brutal Knights

On my never-ending quest for new music, I came across Toronto-based punk outfit Brutal Knights.
So far, I like what I hear.
Apparently, the group also plans to release a four-song EP entitled “My Life My Fault.” No firm release date has been set for this yet, but I’ll keep you updated.
In the meantime, why don’t you check out two of their tracks that I believe are expected on the EP – “My Life My Fault” and “Be My Babysitter.”
Let me know what you think!
Oh yeah, and Happy Valentine’s Day!
