Punk Goes Crunk in April
If you’re not familiar with Fearless Records and their “Punk Goes…” series, you’re missing out.
The latest installment, entitled “Punk Goes Crunk” will feature punk bands trying out rap and hip hop. Sound odd? It is, but it’s also pretty rad if I do say so myself.
The album will feature Scary Kids Scaring Kids, The Devil Wears Prada, Say Anything and many more. It’s due out April 8th, 2008 – so mark your calanders!
I hope all of you have a great weekend!

I like punk, especially the more on the ska old school side, but I don’t love hip hop. Have you listened to the previous ones – i.e. do they pull it off? The bizarre cover alone sort of make you want it. But it does sound a little strange.
It DOES sound strange, Jennifer – but that’s what makes it kind of appealing to me, I must admit. (What can I say, I’m a strange girl.)
I’m not much of a fan of hip hop either – buuuut, with that being said, I’m interested to see how well they can pull it off. It’s an odd concept – punk bands covering HIP HOP?
I loved Punk Goes Acoustic from the series. Punk Goes 80’s was also quite interesting. Especially the cover of Oingo Boingo’s Dead Man’s Party.
