The B5Media network:

Warped Tour Goes Green

logo.gifIn an effort to reduce their carbon footprint, Warped Tour founder Kevin Lyman plans to make a strong effort to “go green.”

According to this article from The El Paso Times,  Lyman created the Warped Eco Initiative as an eco-friendly approach to keeping the tour as “green” as he possibly can. Recycle, Reduce, Reuse will be a popular theme for the long-running tour this year; additionally, the tour has switched to using biodiesel fuels for large vehicles and a solar-powered stage and Warped Eco tent.

If fans really want to help out, they will be encouraged to make use of the recycling bins stashed around the place and can even purchase an eco-friendly cloth bag to tote their souvenirs around in instead of a plastic one.
