The Vandon Arms are Frickin’ Rad

The Vandon Arms are Frickin’ Rad

Since discovering The Vandon Arms, I can’t stop listening to them. Their music has an infectious kick you just can’t get out of your head; if you like Flogging Molly, you’ll love this Irish punk group.
Why I haven’t discovered them before now I don’t know, but according to their Punx.com profile, the four-piece has shared the stage with such great acts as The Unseen, Reel Big Fish, Agent Orange and more.
Seriously, what are you waiting for? Get thee to their profile and rock out. They’ve got some AWESOME music (I recommend The Righteous Fight and The Boys Back Home), and …read more

New Track from Reggie And The Full Effect

New Track from Reggie And The Full Effect

Seriously, if you don’t want to have music stuck in your head all day, do NOT listen to the latest offering from Reggie And The Full Effect.
Actually, listen to it anyway – but you’ve been warned, it WILL get stuck in your head!
The latest track “J Train” will appear on Reggie And The Full Effect’s upcoming album, “Last Stop: Crappytown.” It’s catchy, it’s punk-ish, it’s pretty much the perfect start to your day.
Of course, don’t take my word for it. Listen to the new track, as well as other tunes here.

Songs You MUST Put On Your iPod TODAY

Songs You MUST Put On Your iPod TODAY

As a self-described music junkie, I will admit to playing certain songs for long periods of time – over and over and over again (much to the chagrin of my roommate, I might add!)
With that in mind, the following two songs are definitely tunes you MUST put on your iPod. Right now. Seriously, do it. If you already have them, great; if you don’t, what are you waiting for?
Rancid – Time Bomb
This song often finds itself on repeat in my playlist; if you don’t know this song, you’ve been living under a rock. If you DO know this song but …read more

Ever Heard of The Serlingtons? You Will Now.

Ever Heard of The Serlingtons? You Will Now.

Unfamiliar with The Serlingtons myself, I was pleasantly surprised when I gave some of their music a listen. Check out four new tracks from the band on their Myspace page; two of the tracks will supposedly appear on an upcoming 7″ the band have planned for release.
If you ARE a fan of The Serlingtons, you may recognize two of the tracks as re-recorded versions of the originals. Either way, new fans and old alike definitely need to check out what the band has going on right now.
You can also check out upcoming show dates (the group will be on tour …read more

Me First and the Gimme Gimmes Announce Release Date for New Album

Me First and the Gimme Gimmes recently announced the title and release date for their upcoming album, the follow up to “Love Their Country.”
The album, entitled “Have Another Ball” will essentially feature songs that didn’t make it onto the Gimmes debut album “Have A Ball”, which dropped in 1997.
I don’t have much more information for you at this time, but I do know the album will apparently hit stores July 8th, 2008. Keep your eye out for more updates as they happen.
Stay TRUE!

Brand New Song from The One Thought Moment

Brand New Song from The One Thought Moment

I’m not exactly sure how to classify Japan’s The One Thought Moment. Their music offers a variety of different… “flavors,” if you will – seriously, you’re going to want to check them out.
The band just released a new track entitled “Long Wave,” and it’s available for preview on their Myspace page.
In other news, the band will be releasing a 4 song EP, “White Ashes & Dead Black” sometime in July.

Monday Music Madness: Troublemake

Well, I am back from vacation. It was hot, tiring, and in all honesty pretty lame – I’m so glad I’m back with ya’ll!
Anyway, I digress.
This week’s Monday Music Madness features Florida pop-punk group Troublemake (no, I didn’t make a typo.) They just recently posted a track from their forthcoming EP Two Thousand Hate.
Check out “Rhetoric of Dope” here, and let me know what you think! While a firm release date has yet to be set for the album, the band hopes to have it out by the end of July.
