Fall Out Boy Post New Remix?
Okay, just to set the record straight up front - I do not like Fall Out Boy. However, they are technically classified as “pop punk,” so they aren’t completely irrelevant to this blog
Why am I writing about this? It’s quite simple - because I get to bash them. Juvenile, perhaps, but hear me out. They’ve released a new remix of their single “This Ain’t a Scene, it’s an Arms Race.”
If they were going to collaborate with other artists, you think they’d pick a few that actually sounded musically similar to their slightly aggravating style.
If you can’t tell, I usually can’t stand artist remixes. Especially when you have artists singing together that are such completely different styles, it’s almost laughable.
You’ll hear Travis from Gym Class Heroes, Kanye West, Tyga, Paul Wall (with Skinhead Rob), Lupe Fiasco and Lil’ Wayne on the new remix.
WHAT?
It doesn’t even sound like the real song. Fall Out Boy makes random appearances on what I can only assume would be the chorus, but other than that this might as well be a completely different song.
Check it out for yourself. If you agree or disagree, let me know! I promise I won’t yell at you if you think the remix is the greatest thing since sliced bread.

How can you not like Fall Out Boy? They are class, although this remix bears so little resemblance to the original it’s lost it’s appeal.

I’m pretty open minded when it comes to music. But I am not a fan of Fall Out Boy - something about their music grates on my nerves.
And you’re right - the song doesn’t sound ANYTHING like the original.
