As if releasing their new album “Agony and Irony” on July 1st isn’t enough for Alkaline Trio, they’ll also be debuting a customized pair of Nike skate shoes aptly named The Heart and Sole Air Zoom Cush. The shoes will be exclusively debuted in Huntington Beach on June 27th, but folks nationwide can expect to see the shoes July 11th.
You can look forward to a red and black color scheme complete with customized details such as reflectors and bike-inspired graphics. Of course, the Alkaline Trio logo will be prominent on these shoes.
Check out a picture of the shoe to the left of this post. What do you think? Too much? Would you buy it? Do you absolutely love it? I want to hear your thoughts!
Yes, friends - it’s true. The Offspring’s long-awaited album “Rise and Fall, Rage and Grace” has officially been released throughout the US and Canada TODAY.
If you’ve been waiting to get your hands on a copy, it’s available for sale now at Amazon.com for $8.99 as a digital download, $9.99 for a CD.
Unfortunately, funds are a little low this month so I won’t be buying it today (bummer…) but if you were planning on snagging a copy for yourself, hop on over to Amazon and get to it!
Recently, I reviewed Jonny Dongel’s album “A Fifth of Nowhere.” Of every song on the album, “Sorry Simon” was the track that drew me in first, and kept me hooked until the end of the album.
Much to my pleasant surprise, I discovered that “Sorry Simon” had a music video! It’s interesting - and definitely worth a look.
Check out the video below and let me know what you think!
For all the Less Than Jake fans out there, check out “Abandon Ship,” the first track previewed from Less Than Jake’s forthcoming album GNV FLA. The album won’t hit stores until June 24th, but you’ll definitely want to check out this song.
You can hear the track via Punknews.org’s LTJ profile page right here.
What do you think? Love it? Hate it? Leave me your comments below.
While a firm release date and a title has yet to be announced, Rise Against have posted another studio blog update on how their album preparation is going.
The band has apparently been hard at work writing new material for the next album and are experimenting with a variety of different sounds to make the album “bigger and better” than anything they’ve done previously. That’s exciting!

If you’ve been following along with the previous Less Than Jake webisodes, you won’t want to miss the fourth installment.
In this video, Chris talks about the process of touring, family, and interjects tidbits about some of the famous people he has met throughout his career. Additionally, you’ll also get to see some shots of the studio during the recording process for GNV FLA.
For a taste of honest punk rock, you definitely need to check out California four-piece The Zomboys.
They are unapologetic, honest and real - and their music is pretty good, too. According to their Myspace, they’ve played alongside some pretty rad bands, including Drastic Actions and Oi Boys, among others.
They’ve got five songs up right now, so what are you waiting for? GO LISTEN!
Just a reminder - you have until July 6th to enter for your chance to win a copy of LTJ’s upcoming album GNV FLA and a collectible bobblehead/bank figurine!
I’m writing this post to stress the importance of following entry instructions EXACTLY. I deleted two comments, so Rodney and Louise, you are welcome to enter again - but please ensure you follow the contest instructions :)
Good luck to all participants, and I hope we get a good show of entries for this!
