]]> attainmentcdcover.jpgCanadian punk outfit Attainment not only sound great, but they do their damnedest to keep punk rock alive and well. Let me tell you; they’re doing their job!

Right now they have four songs up on their Myspace profile. According to a Myspace bulletin, they recently re-recorded “Riff,” and put up the brand new song “Circle Pit.” Check ‘em out, will ya? These guys are going places (or should be) and you’ll definitely enjoy giving them a listen.

From their profile, you immediately realize Attainment is a no-holds-barred, tell-it-as-they-see-it type of band. As their “About Me” states:

“We believe in REAL punk rock…”

It’s obvious, guys. Keep up the great work.

Check out “Life’s Waiting,” “Critical Failure,” and “Against The Odds” by clinking the link above. My favorite? Critical Failure, but don’t ask me to tell you why – I guess the song just resonates with me for some reason.

]]> youmeatsix.jpgUK pop punk group You Me At Six are an interesting find. While hardcore punk fans may steer clear of this poppy-er sound (poppy-er is a word now ’cause I said so), general punk fans or something looking for something a little lighter may find this band refreshing.

Once there, you can listen to some music and check out the videos for two of their songs, or purchase their single “If I Were In Your Shoes.”

]]> millencolinmachine.jpgIs it just me, or do a lot of bands seem to be launching full album streams recently? Whatever the reason behind it, I think it’s awesome that these bands are allowing fans to preview the full album; it’s a great, LEGAL way to “try before you buy.”

The latest group to join the full-album stream list is Millencolin, which rocks. Check out “Machine 15″ on their Myspace page – the album will be released viw Epitaph Records in the United States on May 6th.
