Pop Punk Christmas Goodness!

Pop Punk Christmas Goodness!

Get into the holiday spirit with “This Christmas” by the pop punk quintet Every Avenue.
The song starts out slow and melodic, with lyrics like these below.
“So let’s move a little bit closer,
Talk a little bit softer,
I’ve only got December,
Until this year’s gone.”
Afterwards, the chorus transitions into the raucous pop punk sound we’re so familiar with. It’s definitely not your traditional Christmas song!
Check it out here, and get ready for the holidays!

Canadian Pop Punk Act Gob to Release New Album

Canadian Pop Punk Act Gob to Release New Album

Here’s to Monday Music Madness, folks.
If you’re a fan of the always catchy pop-punk genre, the Canadian quartet Gob will definitely strike your fancy. The band recently announced they will be releasing a new album come October 16th, entitled Muertos Vivos.
You can listen to two songs which will be featured on their upcoming album (their first since 2003’s Foot In Mouth Disease) on their Myspace page.
Make sure to give “Prescription” and “We’re All Dying” a listen, and stay true!

Fall Out Boy Post New Remix?

Fall Out Boy Post New Remix?

Okay, just to set the record straight up front – I do not like Fall Out Boy. However, they are technically classified as “pop punk,” so they aren’t completely irrelevant to this blog
Why am I writing about this? It’s quite simple – because I get to bash them. Juvenile, perhaps, but hear me out. They’ve released a new remix of their single “This Ain’t a Scene, it’s an Arms Race.”
If they were going to collaborate with other artists, you think they’d pick a few that actually sounded musically similar to their slightly aggravating style.
